PROJECT NOTES

SIM-RAMBU

A freelance GIS project for working with disaster-management information on a map.

The question

How can disaster-management information be presented geographically?

Some information becomes easier to understand when you can see where it belongs. SIM-RAMBU put that information on a map.

My approach

I worked on this geographic information system as a personal freelance project for a Regional Disaster Management Agency. The engagement ran for two months.

The map was the centre of the application, giving the agency a way to work with the geographic side of its information.

Engineering details

The project used:

  • Angular.
  • Koa.js.
  • MongoDB.

The duration and stack are recorded in my earlier résumé.
