The question

How do you turn individual biometric attendance records into a month an administrator can read?

The machine records someone arriving. At the end of the month, somebody still needs to make sense of all those arrivals.

My approach

I built this attendance-management system as a freelance project. It connects to biometric machines and presents the records in a monthly report.

How the report works

• People go down the rows and dates go across the columns.
• Attendance records appear where the person and date meet.
• Year and month controls let an administrator choose the reporting period.

It’s a straightforward screen, which suits the job. The person checking attendance can read the month without working through each machine record separately.
